Doesn’t it feel like 2024 (like every other year, honestly) is just flying by? Time moves so quickly, it’s hard to believe we’re already a quarter of the way through!

Notwithstanding whatever existential dread the accelerated passage of time might instill: if you agree, it’s probably a good thing. It means you’re just as busy and engrossed in life as we are at Jester! Still, it might also be a sign that you ought to consciously slow down a bit. Take a moment, take stock, and reflect; because looking back can be just as important as looking ahead.

That’s what we’re doing today, with an update on some of Jester’s most recent and ongoing projects! 

Canadian Dermatology Association (CDA)

It’s the 21st century, and it’s now widely understood how important it is to take care of your skin. 

Lots of people have a daily skin routine and habitually use cleansers, moisturizers, sunscreens, and everything else in between. 

Yet nobody ever seems to ask: what’s protecting your skin from these so-called skin protectors?

As it turns out, many of these products can contain harmful chemicals that can irritate skin or clog pores. But don’t worry: this doesn’t mean we all have to start spending an eternity sifting through the dizzyingly long list of multi-syllabic ingredients on the back of almost every skin-care product to try and distinguish the safe chemicals from the bad–because the Canadian Dermatology Association has us covered! 

Instead, just look for their logo to know that the thing you’re spreading all over your face or body is actually safe. Jester was proud to work with the CDA and contribute to the conceptualization, development, and promotion of their “Look for the Logo” campaign in 2023. We designed and published several graphics, videos, and ads (example above) to ensure that their important message reached thousands more people!

Dairy Distillery

Got milk? As it turns out, lots of Canadians don’t! These days, people are drinking less fluid milk in favour of cheese and yoghurt as their go-to sources of calcium. The result is an overwhelming surplus of lactose by-products like whey and milk permeate–and when local Ontarian and serial entrepreneur Omid McDonald heard that these by-products are often just dumped as waste, he had an ingenious idea to make alcohol out of them!

Jester, always willing and looking to uplift local creativity, was happy to design ads (example below) and offer our website expertise to help spread the word about Omid’s revolutionary, carbon-neutral, and refreshing endeavour! If the idea of dairy-based alcohol and cream liqueurs (like their staple, ‘Vodkow’) intrigues you, visit to partake! 

Empowered Networks

Jester has been a long-time partner of Empowered Networks, an IT services and consulting agency based in Ottawa that helps businesses build, maintain, and optimize their networks for greater efficiency and cyber security. Since 2017, Empowered Networks has enlisted Jester’s help for a wide range of services, relying on our creative expertise for online advertising, social media management, video production, and website design (example below)–to our practical insights on SEO and market strategizing.
